Background
The Green Hydrogen Organisation (GH2) is a non-profit foundation working to advance green hydrogen made from renewables and water. GH2 works closely with industry, government and civil society in its efforts to fight climate change through the accelerated production and use of green hydrogen in the sectors that need it to decarbonise like steel, fertilisers, marine transport and aviation.
About the role
GH2 is seeking a Communications and Graphic Design Intern to assist with its communications and branding efforts. This role is ideal for a creative, motivated, and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about sustainability and interested in learning more about green hydrogen. The intern will work closely with the Communications and Advocacy Officer to support the organisation’s social media, website, graphic design, and internal communications.
The position is based in London (Canary Wharf), with a hybrid working arrangement. All candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
Key Responsibilities

Social Media Management: Assist in planning, creating, and scheduling engaging content for GH2’s social media platforms, including LinkedIn, BlueSky and Instagram.

Website Updates: Support updates to GH2’s website, ensuring content is current, accurate, and visually appealing.

Graphic Design: Create graphics and visual materials for social media, reports, presentations, and events using Canva and Adobe Illustrator.

Content Creation: Assist in preparing media documents, reports, stakeholder communications and promotional materials.

Internal Communications: Support the team with internal updates and communications tools.

Other Tasks: Undertake other duties aligned with the communications function as required.
Skills and Experience

Current student or recent graduate in Communications, Graphic Design, Marketing, or a related field.

Experience using graphic design tools such as Canva and Adobe Illustrator.

Familiarity with managing social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram).

Basic knowledge of website management and CMS tools is a plus.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset.
