The Bariloche Green Hydrogen Global Forum

The Green Hydrogen Global Forum is taking place in Bariloche, Argentina on 18-19 May 2023.
The Bariloche Green Hydrogen Global Forum is co-hosted by the Province of Río Negro in Argentina and the Green Hydrogen Organisation.
Our planet and its energy systems need to rapidly decarbonise to keep the prospect of 1.5°C alive by 2050. A collective effort by government, industry and civil society is needed and green hydrogen is an essential part of the solution. Latin America, with its enormous potential for renewable resources, is uniquely placed to produce sustainable green hydrogen to help decarbonise the continent and supply it to global markets.
The Bariloche Forum is a key gathering of leaders to galvanise green hydrogen’s potential to rapidly phase out fossil fuels in major economic sectors, such as steel, cement, fertilizers, shipping and aviation. The Forum will consider local, regional and national government strategies to scale up green hydrogen; identify solutions to unlocking financing for the sector; and the role of standards in driving down emissions and ensuring green hydrogen has a positive impact on society.
