Green Hydrogen Policy Accelerator Training Course (India)
New Delhi, India | 21-26 October 2024
The Green Hydrogen Organisation and International Solar Alliance are convening a joint training program for the green hydrogen economy, “Green Hydrogen Policy Accelerator Training Course”.
The course targets participants from 14 countries, with sessions scheduled at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, India. Each day will cover critical topics in green hydrogen, including policy, technology, trade, standards, infrastructure, finance, industry, and strategy. The course will also give participants the opportunity to visit the NTPC Green Hydrogen Demonstration Plant, Greater Noida, to further understand practical applications and logistics.
The primary focus is to strengthen the Green Hydrogen Innovation Centre (GHIC) and equip government officials with expertise in renewable energy, green hydrogen production, applications, and policy development. This initiative is strategically designed to highlight the pivotal role of GHIC in driving the energy transition and achieving global sustainability and climate objectives. Overview
This six-day course offers an in-depth exploration of green hydrogen, focusing on critical topics each day to provide a comprehensive understanding of the field.
Day 1: Policy and Technology
Focus on the strategic importance of green hydrogen in the energy transition. Participants will explore market developments, industrial strategies, and policy instruments.
Day 2: Standards
Focused on the critical role of standards and certifications in green hydrogen, with participants exploring detailed certification processes.
Day 3: Trade and Infrastructure Day
Dedicated to trade and infrastructure needs for green hydrogen, this day covers water, land, and transportation.
Day 4: Finance Day
Dedicated to the economic aspects of green hydrogen, this day covers project economics, finance, government fiscal measures and guarantee instrument for green hydrogen projects.
Day 5: Industry
Participants will have the opportunity to visit the NTPC Green Hydrogen Demonstration Plant, Greater Noida, to further understand practical applications and logistics.
Final Day: Strategy
Centred on strategy and innovation, the course wraps up with insights from the Green Hydrogen Innovation Centre, a strategy and feedback session, and key discussions for COP29.
On the successful completion of the course, participants will receive the Green Hydrogen Enabling Environment Course certificate, issued by: International Solar Alliance, and the Green Hydrogen Organisation. Each participant will also be expected to contribute to the annual yearbook, Green Hydrogen Enabling Environment Course Book 2024, jointly published by the organisers in November 2024 at COP29.
